I occasionally catch a little of the news. (Specifically, sound bites of the Russian election collusion investigation). It gave me ideas, especially with our weather in mind, that we survive storms in our lives. If it isn’t one thing, it is another. It is up to us to move on.
The rain moves in but we must move on for sunnier times. We must dodge our own hailstorms and lightning. We enjoy the wind whistle and we are wary of the thunder.
Let us tackle the other things that come up. Hit’em in the chest and wrap up. Dodge, if you are on the offense. Punt when you must but make up ground when given the opportunity.
Three things to be thankful for:
(1) Another round of small victories:
I had a buddy pass a certification test he had been studying for. It is helping him at work. It encourages me to look beyond the walls that have comforted me.
We had been burning the remnants of our wood pile outside. It has taken several different days to do this. Rain and storms prevent forward progress but it helps put out fires. We don’t torch the yard because of rain. Rain is a great assistant but a lousy partner.
(3) Small tasks:
Today was a quiet, light day. I was being tortured by the silence. No emails or directives. Nursing my wounds with the rear echelon. All of a sudden, someone has some gopher work. Hilarious to have a small task.
Folks, without hyperbole, find purpose. Use intensity.
Do. Be. Love one another as you would want to be loved. Blessings.
