Pieces of Wisdom

On occasion; I read a decent quote in my non-fiction works from the past that have tidbits of wisdom. I think that we need to enjoy the wisdom we received from people of vision from the past.

(I use what is useful and I throw out what doesn’t. Not everyone is perfect. If I find that someone did something great or had a great idea; I read into it and try to use the useful parts. People are shades of grey, not all perfect or all evil).

T.E. Lawrence (aka Lawrence of Arabia) wrote in his memoir Seven Pillars of Wisdom:

“All men dream, but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds wake in the day to find that it was vanity; but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act their dream with eyes open, to make it possible.”

I encourage you to strive and dream in real life despite those that have decided to no longer function with an internal fire. Even if your life ends fighting for something that you never reach; you are better for engaging in a worthwhile journey.

Three things to be thankful for:

(1) Healing part 24:

Ankle is finally stopping its war against the rest of my leg. I am hoping to get back training for a half marathon. All is dependent on news regarding the finger/hand.

(2) Those that achieve:

I am inspired by those that work hard and achieve. I am unsure why people hate those that achieve. I strive for more and look forward to the opportunities to better myself/surrounding environment.

(3) Groups like the SPLC:

I believe that any group that highlights or cries out against someone risks advertising for the people that they don’t approve of. I find it a position of weakness that an organization would find it advantageous to engage in their operations long term while the targeted groups that survive can strengthen their resolve. Mission creep equals free advertising.

Feel free to report my blog to the SPLC.

Readers; keep thinking and striving. See beauty and expect no less.

Do. Be. Love one another as you would want them to love you. Blessings.
