What I’m Reading, Listening to, And Concerned About

Reading:

Our man @ The Portly Portico speaks about something that many of us hear but not remember, appreciating hymns. I remind many of you that you have heard them in everyday entertainment but don’t know it.

Listening:

Sabaton used a common hymn that I remember from my youth, but recast as a metal song. Yes, I am a personal fan of the story behind the LivGardet fighting the Turks out of an actual fire.

Additional Listening:

Buckley speaks about something that I am thankful for; millennials and their ability to remind the lazy that they shouldn’t rest on the fact “everyone has always lived with this”.

Additional Reading:

I’m daring to add this series of articles from our friend’s at Sigma Frame. It served as a warning of what can happen to certain types of people. (Women, who don’t have a direction).

Concerned:

I am concerned that the vast majority of us are a step away from giving into another marketing gimmick and allowing a “jive” talking moron to run our lives. Too late?

  1. Thanks for the link, Matt! I listened to Buckley’s video this morning; he is spot on re: the Millennial stuff, every part of it. I *think* I am a Millennial, and I did not own a home until I was 33. It took a lot of scrimping and saving, and working lots of side gigs, to make it happen.
